SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES:

Here’s the scoop: I’m looking for guest blog articles to compliment the themes of FIRST HAND WOMAN. So I want real-life stories revolving around two possible things:

1. I am a First Hand Woman/Man blog: Write about a time in your career/life when you went from being a “second hand woman/man” to becoming a “first hand woman/man”. Whatever that means to you. Egs: a time when you began to own your awesomeness, a time when you really came into your own, a time when you began to engage with your true passion, a time when you overcame great obstacles and came out stronger and awesomer (is that a word?), etc. I’m looking for really amazing stories of triumph here.
2. Loss blog: How you faced a tough loss in your relationships/life/career, or experienced the stages of grief and overcame them! I’m thinking about a time when you turned lemons into lemonade, that kind of thing.

The choice is up to you! So get your creative juices flowing.

The Basic Rules:

• For option 1: Be sure to use the words “second hand woman/man” and “first hand woman/man” in the article.
• For option 2: Be sure to use the words “first hand woman/man” at some point in the article.
• Keep it between 300-400 words.
• Think uplifting, awesome, aspirational message by the end.
• Please send in support images of yourself that reflect the vibe of your article, and your contact/website link (if applicable).
• Keep it curious/moving/entertaining/awesome/authentic/you. xo
• Tip: Write the article as if you were telling it to your best friend.
